Time for a cold one. Any big plans for the weekend?
I’m pretty sure we have none. Just gonna watch the F1. Y’all be safe.

Might go out and do some target practice. Will likely play a lot of video games.
Likewise, bud. The world can be a mad place.

I will be working on metal for a new storage shed, but also looking over plans for building a ~40% scale Land Rover, which arrived yesterday.

Now, I’ll have to make all the body panels and axles and things myself, and order out for the drive motors and wheels and lights, but it’s looking pretty doable. Just haven’t finished deciding where and in what I’ll be altering their methods.

Do a bit of woodworking. Making a Dungeons and Dragons dice box for a coworker. Also thinking about replacing the oil pan gasket on the Civic. Again.

Again
Well, that doesn’t sound promising. I have a 13 Civic.

Cool, I wish there was more than one crappy (model magazines say) plastic model for an M37 Dodge. You can get quite a bit for the WWII Dodge trucks or a Jeep or a Hummer etc.. but they pretty much skipped toys and models for M37s. I can’t even find a matchbox or diecast. I wish I could get something like that LR. Wow those are big.

I did it the first time about a month ago. I apparently didn’t do something right, and it’s still leaking. I’m going to try it again, and I also bought a new front crank seal. I’ll let the shop handle that when they do the timing belt, water pump, and a few other things.
My Civic is now 19 years old. It's starting to feel its age.

My 17 year old Odyssey is still going strong (although it’s on its second engine and second transmission). It’s got about 230k miles on it. Just put in a junkyard driver’s seat because one of the welds broke on the original. I’d love to get it to 300k. We’ll see. The guy at Honda who has been helping me keep it on the road was killed while riding his bike two weeks ago. I hope I can find somebody else who is as dedicated as he was.

I recall reading that. That’s sad.
I'm hoping to keep it happily running for a few more years. I figured if that was the case, I should probably take care of a few maintenance items, like the oil pan gasket. It had been leaking oil for quite a while. Although now I'm second guessing myself and thinking maybe it was the crank seal this whole time.
